The Ivory-Plumb Foundation Scholarship Program was established in 2026 by the Clark and Christine Ivory Foundation (with a $100,000 donation) and Walter Plumb IV (with a $50,000 donation) to support students in the Murray YSA Stake area, including members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and nonmembers of the faith. The scholarship can be awarded for Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters. The amount available for scholarship awards for the 2026–2027 academic year is $140,000. An additional $10,000 will be reserved for an emergency fund to assist students facing unexpected financial hardships. The program is designed to serve up to 58 students during the 2026–2027 school year, depending on enrollment.

The scholarship can be applied toward associate degrees, trade, and technical certificates at Salt Lake Community College and Salt Lake Tech. Scholarship amounts will vary by enrollment level, covering 80% of tuition and fees, with the option to increase to 90% coverage for FAFSA applicants. SLCC, in collaboration with SLCCF, will distribute scholarships covering tuition and fees to eligible applicants who meet the specified criteria. Any scholarship funds not used during the 2026–2027 school year will be rolled over to the next school year to be used for the same purpose outlined in this Agreement. The program may receive additional contributions in the future to ensure its continuity.

Students are not required to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to receive the scholarship. However, completing the FAFSA is strongly encouraged because it may qualify students for additional aid and a higher scholarship tier. Students who complete the FAFSA may qualify for the Federal Pell Grant, subject to eligibility requirements. Only U.S. citizens and eligible residents qualify for federal aid through the FAFSA. If a student applies but does not qualify for FAFSA, they will automatically receive the 90% scholarship tier. Volunteer CPAs and tax planners will be available through the Clark and Christine Ivory Foundation for students who need to file their tax returns before completing the FAFSA.
